For clinicians wanting to work with couples and use the Gottman Method of Couples therapy.

The training reviews Dr. Gottman's three decades of research on what makes marriages succeed or fail, and teaches a therapy that helps troubled marriages. The workshop provides a wealth of information about couples dynamics, marital assessment, couples exercises and therapeutic interventions. All materials may be used in private practice settings.

*This new and revised version comes with an opportunity to see on DVD Dr. Julie Gottman use all of the main interventions with a real couple she worked with for a year.  Reusable handouts and assessment tools are included in the new manual.

    12 CE CREDITS: 

    CONTINUING EDUCATION:
    This course is approved for 12 CEs via The Gottman Institute.

    Satisfactory Completion: Participants must have paid tuition fee, signed in, attended the entire seminar, completed an evaluation, and signed out in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available.

    • APA—The Gottman Institute, Inc. (TGI) is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. TGI maintains responsibility for the program. The program is offered for 12 CE credits for psychologists.

    • NBCC—The Gottman Institute, Inc. is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) and may offer NBCC approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements.  The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program. 

    • California BBS—Course meets the qualifications for 12 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
